Role Overview: The CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT procedures using ionizing radiation, ensuring high-quality imaging through technical expertise and independent judgment. Key Responsibilities: Operate CT equipment and related systems to produce accurate imagesPrepare patients, verify orders, and ensure proper identificationAssess image quality and adherence to safety protocolsEducate and comfort patients, addressing concernsFollow infection control and documentation standardsAdminister contrast media safely under supervisionMaintain equipment, stay updated on technological advancements, and assist/trains colleagues and students Qualifications & Skills: 1-2 years of healthcare experience, preferably in CTProficiency in sectional anatomy, positioning, and imaging protocolsKnowledge of contrast administration and electronic imagingEffective communication, teamwork, and task prioritization skillsValid ARRT certification (R) and state licensure; BLS requiredPhysical ability to assist patients and operate equipment Additional Requirements: Ability to respond to emergent situations, maintain a safe environment, and demonstrate ongoing professional development.
