About the role

We are seeking a CT Technologist to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. This role is part of an amazing team that works hard to support each other and values patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain quality CT images of patients and demonstrate competence in following established scanning protocols, adjusting protocols as required.
  • Comply with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self, and appropriately utilize Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Operate CT scanner safely and competently.
  • Perform all necessary computer operations (e.g., Meditech).
  • Ensure proper charges are entered and referring physicians' orders are verified.
  • Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare examination rooms for CT scans and/or invasive procedures.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, performing biopsies, and all types of patient care.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy (e.g., technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation) and complete verification process in PACS.
  • Assist Facility System Administrator and CT Supervisor with PACS clean up (e.g., unarchived images, verifications, and reporting unspecified images).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients according to HIPAA Policy and Procedure.
  • Complete and maintain personal educational requirements.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
  • ARRT - CT Technology Certification (required within 6 months of hire).
