CT Technologist

Role: CT Technologist Overview: Deliver safe, high-quality CT imaging while providing a supportive patient experience in a collaborative healthcare environment. Respectfully contribute as an essential member of the clinical team, focusing on patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostics. Responsibilities Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, ensuring optimal imaging quality with minimal radiation exposure.Operate imaging equipment independently, maintaining equipment safety and cleanliness per infection control protocols.Gather clinical history, verify patient identity, and explain procedures using AIDET to reduce anxiety.Ensure patient safety and comfort, administer contrast agents via venipuncture when needed, and position patients correctly.Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or adjust as necessary, and document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS.Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and support department operations, including equipment maintenance and supply management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (Basic Life Support). Skills: Technical proficiency in CT imaging, patient communication, infection control, and teamwork. Ability to operate imaging equipment independently and respond effectively to emergencies.
