About the Role
We are seeking a CT Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans, producing high-quality images, and exercising professional judgment during procedures. The role involves providing patient care, initiating life support when necessary, and effectively interacting with patients, physicians, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce accurate scans and perform related procedures and protocols
- Learn and utilize new technology and orient new employees
- Obtain patient information to enhance personalized care
- Develop an understanding of patients' physical and emotional status across all age groups
- Potentially perform additional diagnostic radiology tasks, mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures based on facility needs
Requirements
- Completion of an AMA-approved or JCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology training program
- ARRT certification required at hire; CT certification preferred within two years
- Licensure through relevant state boards if applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and I.V. certification within six weeks of employment
- Ability to learn new technology and work effectively with diverse patient populations
Schedule
This role may involve on-call duties, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet facility needs.
