Responsibilities
- Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists
- Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations
- Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity
- Maintain monitoring of protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology Program
- Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT)
- At least 2 years of experience with Computed Tomography (CT) preferred
- IV Access & Contrast Injection Certified or willing to get certified within 3-months of hire, required
- Ability to produce high quality special imaging with little supervision
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed
