Major Responsibilities
- Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
- Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
- Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
- Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
- Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review.
Position Qualifications
- Licence/Certification/Education: Required AART certification in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine Required. RTR licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required Must take the initial exam for the ARRT certification in CT Scan within 6 months of the completion of the required competencies. Exam delays will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Must pass the ARRT CT certification exam within 12 months. BLS certification with 30 days of hire.
- Experience/Skills Required: Maintain all area specific CEUs for ARRT, DPH according to regulation. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
