CT Tech II - Days - Albany Memorial Hospital

About the role

CT Tech II - Albany Memorial Hospital. Full-time day shift position performing all CT procedures in accordance with department standards under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record a complete clinical history pertinent to examination requested.
• Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to coordinator and/or radiologist.
• Instruct patients as to the nature of the exam being performed.
• Effectively communicate information regarding post procedures.
• Ensure proper radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment for patients, co-workers and self.
• Responsible for understanding the ALARA program and actively participating in dosimetry program.
• Effectively complete all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures and RIS requirements.
• Demonstrate proper use of positioning devices and other equipment necessary to provide safe, accurate, and complete exams.
• Assist in the instruction of new personnel.

Requirements

• AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist
• Current ARRT registration
• NYS license required
• Certification to Inject
• Experience on Siemens equipment preferred

Pay

Range: $39.45–$54.86 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
