About the role
Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm; Rotating call every 5th weekend and one weeknight. Some holiday coverage required.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competence and proficiency in performing all CT procedures on patients of all age groups (neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics). Position patient, select correct protocol, and utilize all required equipment.
- Maintain proficiency to perform CT interventional procedures.
- Accurately follow all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
- Perform quality control procedures in accordance with ACR guidelines.
- Adhere to Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
- Provide patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
- Assist with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate time sequences.
- Act as a mentor for students and junior technologists.
- Ensure department meets all regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate ability to post-process advanced imaging procedures using applications such as Syngo Via.
- Demonstrate ability to perform advanced CT imaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and be competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
- Provide more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.
- Be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol, and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
- 1 year of CT experience required.
- ARRT - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R) (CT) upon hire required.
- CT - Advanced certification by ARRT in Computed Tomography (CT) upon hire required.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required.
