About the role
Independently performs computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media.
Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture.
Captures patient flow and coordinates the activities of the CT scanner.
Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition.
May perform procedures in other imaging modalities or at other facilities based on departmental needs.
May have on call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Performs computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media.
- Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture.
- Captures patient flow and coordinates the activities of the CT scanner.

Requirements
- A degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
- A current AHA or American Red Cross BLS Certification.
- An American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT (R) registry.
- A current CT registry.
- An Ohio Department of Health (ODH) license.
Qualifications
- No prior job-related work experience is required.
- One year experience or additional training in specialized field of CT is preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Proficiency in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage.
- Advanced CT computer applications.
- Radiation safety.
