About the role

Responsibilities

• Performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures under the direction of a radiologist.
• Applies prescribed ionizing radiation to obtain a radiologic diagnosis.
• Follows the principles and guidelines set forth by the American College of Radiology.
• Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Acute care experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
• Registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
