About the role
The CT Technologist at CHI St. Alexius Bismarck plays a crucial role in diagnosing stroke victims through rapid CT scanning. Your responsibilities include performing CT scans based on protocols, completing perfusions and reconstructions, and documenting all required forms.
Responsibilities
- Masterfully executes high-quality CT and X-ray imaging procedures with technical precision
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of patient positioning for all exams and exhibits proficiency in all CT exam protocols
- Evaluates imaging orders for contrast use, skillfully administers contrast material, and dispenses oral contrast
- Ensures adherence to the highest standards of radiation safety and provides exceptional patient care
- Maintains accurate patient records, upholds HIPAA standards, manages inventory, stocks the CT room, and ensures a clean, disinfected work environment
- Performs EKGs, participates in on-call duties, conducts routine equipment maintenance, and assists with gathering Quality Assurance (QA) data
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- Ongoing CT specified education including radiation protection and minimization of patient radiation exposure
- Computer and Clerical Skills, Radiographic and patient care skills obtained at an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Effective communication skills
Preferred
- Basic Life Support Certification (CPR- Healthcare Provider) within 480 hours of employment and meets re-certification as required
- ACLS
- Prior Epic experience helpful
- Preference given for 1 year clinical experience
- Registered Radiologic / Computed Tomography Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- ND state Licensure NDMIRT
- Preference given to applicants with CT registration

Pay
The posted compensation range of $29.03 - $40.70 /hour is a reasonable estimate based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Schedule
Monday- Friday overnights, with holiday hours included in the rotation. Shift: Night. Remote: No.
