About the Role
Aids the Radiologic Technologists in all aspects of daily workflow, displaying courtesy and professionalism while providing timely, helpful services to patients, visitors, physicians, and associates.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor room clean-ups pre and post procedures.
- Link exam studies and track and charge for supplies in Syngo Radiology.
- Review patient status in PICIS (E.R. tracking system).
- Scan all exam-related paperwork into Stentor (PACS).
- Access the CT Scan scheduling module to look up future patients or the history of previous exams.
- Check if patients have current lab work for future CT Scans requiring I.V. contrast; if not, pursue, fax, or call the ordering doctor’s office.
- Ask patients to fill out history questionnaires when needed.
- Transport patients.
- Answer telephones and communicate between other departments and radiologists.
- Assist technologists in transferring patients on and off CT Scan tables.
- Stock the CT Scan room with linen and supplies.
- Enter CT scan exams in Soarian Clinicals after patients have been registered.
- Enter patient information into the Virtual Radiology System and validate it.
- Assist patients with scheduling questions.
- Multitask effectively.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to use and learn basic-level computer systems and generate reports.
- BLS certification required.
Schedule
- 24 hours per week (48PP).
- Rotating evenings: 3p–11p.
- Every other weekend: 7a–3p.
- Rotating holidays.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $17.42 – $30.11.
