Verland is accepting applications for the Laundry Aide position at the Main Campus in Sewickley.
Schedule
- Full Time – 40 hours per week
- 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
- Collect all soiled linen from all departments at designated times
- Sort linen according to material and status
- Wash all linen in appropriate washers using soap formulated for specific types of laundering
- Use correct washer settings and amounts of soap as recommended by manufacturer
- Dry all laundry appropriately, fold, and deliver laundry to the proper department
- Keep laundry equipment and entire laundry complex clean and free of debris
- Report all malfunctions of laundry equipment to supervisor immediately
- Perform related duties as requested
- Access only the minimum information necessary to perform job and comply with Verland’s privacy practices
- Drive the laundry truck
Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow simple oral or written instructions
- Ability to operate laundry equipment; basic math skills required
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must have all required clearances
- Formal laundry training experience preferred
