CT/Radiology Technologist

About the role

The Radiology Technologist at Exceptional Emergency Center - Livingston will operate radiographic and CT scan equipment to produce diagnostic images for ER physicians following protocols set by Radiologists. Responsibilities include positioning patients, administering contrast media, and ensuring patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of departmental policies and assist in equipment maintenance.
• Explain procedures and risks to patients, prepare them for exams, and complete relevant forms.
• Administer and consent for contrast media, document reactions, and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain radiation safety practices and update knowledge on diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Apply principles of radiology safety and maintain awareness of personal limitations.
• Ensure safe patient transport and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• At least 1 year of radiologic/imaging experience and CT experience.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current state licensure and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiology equipment.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills for computations and problem-solving.
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity for patient handling.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety guidelines.
