CT / Radiologic Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT / Radiologic Technologist to join our radiology team. The ideal candidate will perform both X-Ray and CT imaging procedures while ensuring high-quality diagnostic images, patient safety, and compliance with radiation protection standards.

Schedule

• Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
• No weekends
• No call requirements
• No shift work

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality X-Ray and CT examinations according to established protocols.
• Verify patient orders and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
• Position patients correctly and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout examinations.
• Review images for quality and diagnostic accuracy.
• Administer contrast for CT examinations according to established protocols.
• Maintain radiation safety standards and follow the ALARA principle.
• Obtain and document required patient information, consents, and examination details in the EMR.
• Start and remove IVs when required for imaging procedures.
• Perform routine quality assurance checks and equipment warm-up procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging equipment and examination rooms.
• Follow proper procedures for equipment maintenance and report malfunctions as needed.
• Assist with urgent or emergency imaging procedures when required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT(R) certification required.
• Current New Mexico Radiologic Technologist license required.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to perform CT examinations.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety and radiation protection standards.
