Job Summary

Location: Methodist Women's Hospital
Address: 707 N. 190th Plaza - Elkhorn, NE
Work Schedule: Night Shift, 24 hours per week. This will be a varied weekly schedule rotating every 3rd weekend.

  • Available at the start of scheduled shift and appropriately manages completion of shift.

    Requirements

    • Education: Graduate of an approved American Medical Association School of Radiologic Technology required.
    • Experience: One year experience in CT or a graduate from an approved CT/MRI program preferred.
    • Licenses/Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in Radiography (R) required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in Computed Tomography (CT) required. Technologists who have completed clinical training and are Computed Tomography (CT) Board eligible will be considered with the understanding that the registry will be passed within 12 months of hire. New technologists who require clinical training to become Computed Tomography (CT) board eligible will be considered with the understanding that the advanced board certification is required within 12 months at the completion of clinical training. Current Medical Radiographer license for work state required. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.
    • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate and interact with patients and family members as well as hospital personnel and coworkers. Must have analytical skills necessary to compute exposure factors and the ability to perform numerous tasks at once. Adept at working with pediatric patients. Strong knowledge in cross sectional anatomy for CT exams and abnormalities of exams is essential.

      • Job Hazards: Rare (1-33%): Chemical agents (Toxic, Corrosive, Flammable, Latex), Explosives (pressurized gas), Electrical Shock/Static, Radiation Non-Ionizing (Ultraviolet, visible light, infrared and microwaves that causes injuries to tissue or thermal or photochemical means), Occasionally (34%-66%): Biological agents (primary air born and blood born viruses) (Jobs with Patient contact) (BBF), Physical hazards (noise, temperature, lighting, wet floors, outdoors, sharps) (more than ordinary office environment), Frequent (67%-100%): Equipment/Machinery/Tools, Radiation Alpha, Beta and Gamma (particles such as X-ray, Cat Scan, Gamma Knife, etc.), Mechanical moving parts/vibrations.
