CT Clinical Preceptor Instructor Technologist

About the role

Seeking a Full-Time CT Clinical Instructor for advanced modality training, primarily in CT, at a top-ranked hospital. The role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT scans, and providing direct supervision, orientation, and education to students and new staff. The instructor will train, evaluate, and support clinical staff, ensuring adherence to safety and hospital protocols, while maintaining accurate records. Collaboration with program directors and participation in clinical meetings are essential. The position emphasizes hands-on learning, professional development, and quality control in diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
• Perform independent and portable CT exams, including on-call situations.
• Establish and document standards for complex protocols.
• Train and evaluate students and new hires, ensuring safety compliance.
• Coordinate ongoing education and procedural updates for staff.
• Maintain safety and quality standards in imaging practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency.
• Certification as R.T.(R) and/or CT technologist.
• 2-5 years of CT experience; 5-10 years preferred.
• Licenses including R.T.(R), CT, MR, BD, CI, VI, RCIS; IEMA certification for Illinois.
• Experience as a clinical educator or preceptor is advantageous.
• Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive environment.
