Clinical Preceptor Instructor Technologist

About the role

Full‑Time CT Clinical Instructor & Advanced Modality Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, training staff and students, and ensuring quality standards. The position involves preparing patients and equipment, independently performing studies, developing protocols, and communicating with affiliated program directors. The instructor promotes hands‑on learning, supports professional development, and updates training materials as needed. This safety‑sensitive role works with advanced imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, and others.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging studies independently across various settings.
• Train and supervise students and new staff, ensuring compliance with safety and hospital protocols.
• Develop and implement complex clinical protocols.
• Coordinate with program directors and attend clinical meetings.
• Maintain accurate training and competency records.
• Promote ongoing education and professional development within the team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Trade School equivalency.
• Certification as R.T.(R) and/or in CT, MRI, or related specialties.
• 2–5 years of CT experience (5–10 years preferred).
• Experience as a clinical educator or preceptor is advantageous.
