About the Role
Support adult and pediatric open-heart surgeries within a dedicated CVOR unit. This role requires availability for on-call duties, including after hours and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cardiac procedures for both adult and pediatric patients
- Ensure sterile conditions in the operating room
- Operate specialized CVOR equipment
- Collaborate with a dedicated pediatric congenital heart team
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience
- Preference for Pediatric CVOR expertise
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability in patient care situations
Unit Details
- 2 CVOR rooms
- Team of 9 members, including RNs, PT RN, and scrub techs
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Performs procedures such as open-heart surgery
- On-call coverage required approximately 10 days per month
Additional Information
The facility recently expanded with a new cardiac ICU and maintains a specialized pediatric congenital heart team. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, adaptability, and stress management.
