Summary
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking a Community Support Specialist for the Transitional Outreach Program in Harrison County, Gulfport, MS. The position supports youth and adolescents in developing independent living skills and educational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral health required
- Professional clinical licensure preferred or must be able to obtain DMH therapist certification within 60 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Behavioral health experience preferred
- Identifies strengths and barriers to independent functioning
- Provides psychoeducation on medication management and communication with providers
- Affords access to various services through referrals
- Trains family members and caregivers on addressing individual needs
- Maintains and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Intervenes in de-escalation of crisis situations
- Documents all services provided in the electronic medical record
