About the role
Want to help strengthen your community’s financial health? WaFd Bank is hiring a Customer Service Supervisor (CSS). Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality service to retail bank clients by administering branch operations and supervising multiple Customer Service Representatives.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through the delivery of excellent service.
- Assist clients by recognizing opportunities and making appropriate product and service recommendations for both consumer and small business clients.
- Supervise two or more CSRs and manage scheduling, branch staff onboarding and training, workflow management, and daily adherence to operational processes and policies.
- Assist the manager in suggesting ways to optimize operational effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency to build shareholder value.
- Demonstrate and apply skills necessary to open all account types and originate loans.
- Develop competencies and certifications/registration necessary to support branch performance goals.
- Assume responsibility for the branch in the absence of other branch leadership.
- Adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act and OFAC regulations.
- Reflect the corporate values and ethics of WaFd Bank, including integrity, teamwork, ownership, simplicity, discipline, and service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or approved equivalent.
- Basic math skills, 10-key and keyboarding.
- Proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.
- Well-developed smartphone and digital channel skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills and superior written and oral communication skills.
- Must be certified in the IRA Road Map and participate in branch onboarding of new hires.
Qualifications
- Prior banking and supervisory experience preferred, including previous work in retail, consumer service delivery, or client relations.
