About the role

Lead the MPS CS US California team by managing people and development, implementing policies, and contributing to strategy. Work closely with the MPS CS US Regional Manager for California to align with corporate guidelines, business plans, and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop policies and objectives for the assigned unit and contribute to the broader strategy to direct activities within the unit.
  • Develop, manage, and ensure the realization of the year plan and budget for the assigned unit, including acquiring approval.
  • Direct and drive the realization of planned results and departmental contributions to cross-sector projects, monitoring and deciding on financial allocations to remain within budget.
  • Evaluate organizational design, processes, and systems, and initiate improvements.
  • Attract, lead, coach, appraise, and develop employees, ensuring proper staffing and increasing enablement.
  • Keep up with internal and external developments to ensure the development, transfer, and retention of knowledge and information.
  • Provide insights on quantitative and qualitative developments through periodical and ad-hoc reports and analyses.
  • Draft and execute the year plan and budget for your team, with a typical time horizon of three to six months.
  • Explain and advocate for chosen solutions using content-driven arguments to internal and external parties.
  • Interact with department managers and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and improve processes within your functional discipline, proposing organizational design changes to management.
  • Supervise the work of 10 or more subordinates.
  • Coordinate activities requiring an advanced vocational level (experienced bachelor’s degree or equivalent).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics) or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers and customers.
  • English proficiency (both oral and written).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Team management or leadership experience.
  • Semiconductor or related industry experience.
  • In-depth understanding of lithography operations.

Other information

  • Position requires traveling up to 20% of the time.
  • Role is office-based with routine requirements to sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands for keyboarding, handle objects, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  • Occasionally required to move around the campus and lift/move up to 20 pounds.
  • May require travel dependent on business needs.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay

The current base annual salary range for this role is $120,750–$181,125. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is assessed based on job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities, and internal equity.
