About the Role
We are seeking a professional and friendly Cocktail Server to provide exceptional service to our guests. This role is crucial in ensuring guest satisfaction through timely and courteous service, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and promoting our drink selections.
Responsibilities
- Provide proper and professional cocktail service to all guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
- Promote and document orders for drinks, reciting selections of all “call” and “premium” brands as requested.
- Pass orders to the Bartender, properly garnish, and deliver to guests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment, including removing empty glasses/bottles, cleaning ashtrays, emptying garbage, sweeping/mopping floors, and scrubbing/sanitizing equipment.
- Ensure proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily, before, after, and during shifts.
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice.
- Interact with co-workers and customers in a professional and polite manner.
- Perform any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
- Basic reading, math, writing, and task completion skills.
- Skills in clerical work, compiling, coordination, analyzing, precision working, following instructions, memorization, problem-solving, independent judgment, and decision-making.
- Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as business needs dictate.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Must obtain and maintain an Alcohol Awareness Card.
Qualifications
- Previous cocktail server experience preferred.
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Demands
- Constant standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, and balancing during shifts.
- Ability to constantly lift/carry 25 lbs or less.
- Repetitive use of both hands, including light and firm/strong grasping motions.
- Constant finger dexterity of both hands.
- Constant use of vision abilities, including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
Work Environment
- Work performed indoors, alone, and frequently with and around others.
- Face-to-face interactions, including verbal contact with others around computer equipment.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
- Potential exposure to vibrations, slippery surfaces, odors, and secondhand smoke.
