About the role
We’re seeking a Cryptography Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team in Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities
- Implement and support cryptography and Key Management Systems (KMS) solutions across the BNY Enterprise.
- Build, integrate, and support a Cryptographic Asset Management Platform to enable the move to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
- Partner with cross-functional teams to determine cryptography and keys use cases.
- Build and support Hardware Security Module (HSM) solutions.
- Create architecture, system build, procedures, and knowledge articles documentation.
- Respond to requests from users, Internal Audit, and Federal Regulators on BNY Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related fields.
- CISSP certification.
- 5+ years of experience installing and supporting cryptographic solutions.
Skills
- Hands-on experience with HSMs and Key Management Systems (KMS).
- Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and key management.
- Automation of cryptographic key services.
- Experience with Thales product line: Thales HSM, Thales Ciphertrust.
- Knowledge of Oracle Key Vault.
- Understanding of Quantum Computing and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards (GDPR, DORA, NIST, and ISO 27001).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
