Crusher Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Performs all production tasks on the crusher, piece of propriety equipment, as assigned
• Maintains records and ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Trains in other areas of the plant, specifically in the destruction department
• Troubleshoots equipment and performs minor repairs when necessary
• Updates lean boards and tracks throughput, downtime, and implements continuous improvement
• Maintains high standards of housekeeping and supports 5S and lean project initiatives
• Maintains ISO programs including 9001 and 14001 and complies with all OSHA requirements
• Cross-trains in other areas of the plant, specifically in the destruction department
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Ability to work overtime hours including weekends when necessary
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools
• Knowledge of and experience working with pressure vessels and gas pipelines
• Ability to communicate concisely and effectively in written and verbal formats with stakeholders at multiple levels in the business
• Works well with others and independently
• Organized with great attention to detail
• Self-motivated individual, capable of working with minimum supervision
• Functional computer skills required (Microsoft suite and data entry)
• Ability to follow job instructions, be aware of job responsibilities, and meet KPIs
• Material handling equipment familiarity
