About the role
The Crusher Operator position at Fisher Industries involves the safe operation of crushing and conveying plants, performing limited maintenance, and assisting with general laborer duties. The role requires familiarity with heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, and excavators.
Responsibilities
- Operate and assist with the operation of crusher plants
- Assist with setup and tear down of plants
- Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and plant
- Inspect and clean machinery and conveyor belts
- Run equipment and load materials as needed
- Complete pre-shift inspections on equipment
- Perform general labor duties such as service work on equipment, grounds keeping, and other assigned tasks
- Work safely, following MSHA and operating rules
- Assist with maintenance activities as directed by supervisors
Requirements
- Age 18 or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy
- Safety and HAZMAT certifications (part 46 or 48) or willingness to obtain certification
- Basic knowledge of welding and using a cutting torch
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and on steep, rough terrain
