Crusher Equipment Operator Laborer
About the role
We are seeking a Crusher Operator Laborer to join our team at Knife River. As a key member of our construction materials production and contracting operations, you will operate various pieces of equipment for and around crushing plants, feeding, stockpiling, and cleaning up materials. You will also assist with shoveling, greasing, and maintenance tasks on and around the plants. Your responsibilities may vary based on supervisor assignments.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate various pieces of equipment for and around crushing plants
- Feed, stockpile, and cleanup materials
- Help on crushing plants as needed
- Shovel, grease, and perform maintenance on and around plants
- Be flexible with other tasks assigned by supervisors
Requirements
- Experience operating a Loader
- Pipe laying experience
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
- Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
- See well and distinguish between backup alarms, voices, and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites
- Dependable and able to work in a safe manner
- Environmental adaptability
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people working toward a common goal
- Able to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights, and some Saturdays
