About the role
The role is responsible for managing the culinary department on board.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals to ensure quality and consistency.
- Plan menus in consultation with the executive chef and ensure compliance with dietary restrictions.
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies to maintain optimal stock.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
Qualifications
- Education in hospitality or related field preferred.
- Valid food handler’s license.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
