About the role

The role is responsible for managing the culinary department on board.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Plan menus in consultation with the executive chef and ensure compliance with dietary restrictions.
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies to maintain optimal stock.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management.

Qualifications

  • Education in hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Valid food handler’s license.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
