Crude Oil Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of full-cycle crude oil accounting including settlements, ticket processing, and month-end close
• Preparation and reconciliation of supplier statements; resolution of discrepancies and volume differences
• Management of severance tax filings, reconciliations, and multi-state compliance
• Maintenance and reconciliation of contract, pricing, and lease data within accounting systems
• Preparation of revenue distributions and support for monthly reporting and financial analysis
• Support of accounting operations and staff training and mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2–5+ years of crude oil or energy accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of settlements, severance tax, and revenue distribution
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems
