Position Summary

Crow's Bench is Schweitzer's Premier restaurant. Centered around alpine cuisine, where we make our food from scratch. Commis Cook (Line Cook) is responsible for executing specific or multiple line stations & their prep during service hours. You will be responsible for food preparation, presentation and keeping a clean kitchen.

Essential Functions And Major Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces.
  • Ensures all prep is done according to recipes and portion standards.
  • Work in close liaison with chef/sous chef.
  • Cooks menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
  • Assembles dishes with attention to presentation and quality.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workstation.
  • Follows sanitation and safety procedures to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Must be willing to work with both the Back of House and Front of House teams.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes.
  • Become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities & services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Specific Job Skills

  • Licenses/Certifications: Idaho Food Safety Certification is preferred.
  • Technical: General Knife Skills.

Education/Related Experience

  • Minimum education required: English reading and writing.
  • Minimum time in a related position: Line Cook.

Additional

  • Experience Preferred.
  • Equipment And Safety/Protective Equipment Used: Non-Slip Shoes are Required.
