Crossing Guard

About the role

Part-time positions begin as substitutes and become permanent as openings arise. Posts are located at Utica Community School District schools and Warren Consolidated schools within Sterling Heights city limits. The job runs from late August until early June.

Schedule

• Up to 20 hours per week
• Sample hours: 7:55 am – 8:30 am and 3:10 pm – 3:35 pm

Pay

Starting rate of pay is $20.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist children as they safely cross the street to and from school
• Encourage safe behavior by all pedestrians at the school crossing
• Be mindful of oncoming traffic as you guide students and other pedestrians across the street
