Key Responsibilities
- Care and treatment of crops and trials.
- Execution of emasculations and crossings according to a crossing scheme.
- Harvesting of crossings, seeds and fruits of the crops.
- Participation in all crop care, seed extraction, cleaning and/or breeding support activities.
- Daily functional guidance of seasonal workers.
- Co-responsible for a healthy and safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- Proactive, safety-conscious, and organized.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (plus).
- Work on weekends and holidays, as necessary.
- Work outside in different weather conditions.
- Strong planning, execution of own, more complex programs and organizational skills.
- A thorough understanding of English, both verbal and written.
- The ability to speak and understand some Spanish (highly desired).
- The ability to work independently.
- The ability to guide less experienced Crop Workers, seasonal workers and be the direct point of contact for colleagues outside own department.
- Be responsible for own projects, overview the communication towards Breeders.
- Work includes simple administrative tasks.
- Must be an eligible driver under our insurance policy.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated starting hourly pay is $22 - $24.
