Farm Worker
Responsibilities
- Operate various tractors and farm equipment to till soil, work ground, prepare and maintain land, and plant, irrigate, fertilize, spray, cultivate, harvest, and transport crops to elevator or storage area.
- Operate equipment that utilizes GPS and auto-guidance systems, sprayers, combines, back-hoes, mowers, and track-hoes.
- Load seed into planters; properly mix chemicals; load chemicals into sprayers; change combine cutting heads.
- Rougheen fields and use hand tools to remove undesirable plant varieties, trash, and other objects from fields.
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, and all farm equipment.
- Ensure operational areas are organized and well maintained.
- Use hand tools and equipment to repair, clean, and maintain farm vehicles, machinery, and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment.
- Regularly service equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to operate non-CDL farm trucks to load and transport agricultural products.
- Knowledge of planting, irrigation, fertilization, spraying, cultivation, harvesting, and transportation of crops.
- Ability to perform general maintenance and repairs on farm equipment.
- Ability to perform tasks such as rouging fields and removing undesirable plant varieties.
- Ability to organize and maintain operational areas.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment used in farming.

Benefits
Housing is provided. Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence is also offered. Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day.
Pay
The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
Schedule
Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions.
Additional Information
The employer will provide, without charge or deposit, free and convenient kitchen and cooking facilities to prepare meals. The workers will be allowed time to drive themselves or will be transported to a store or market to purchase their own food and cooking supplies. Employer provided housing contains a refrigerator, stove, oven, and operational sink with hot and cold water under pressure. In the event that the workers are unable to prepare meals at the housing location, the employer will provide three sufficient meals a day free of charge.
