CRNP or PA, Staff or Senior (Womancare Associates)
University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to support Womancare Associates in Mars, PA. Hours are Monday-Friday daylight hours with one evening shift per month from 12pm-7pm. The position is primarily outpatient OBGYN in Mars, PA, with some travel to offices in Sewickley, PA and on the Passavant Hospital campus.
We are a high-volume OBGYN practice with five offices north of Pittsburgh, staffed by a mix of MDs, CNMs, and APPs with strong interprofessional collaboration.
About the Role
The Staff or Senior Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and a member of the care delivery team. The APP sets standards for the level and quality of care, manages patient care activities, and collaborates with physicians and other healthcare providers. The role includes leadership, partnership, and supervision responsibilities, with a focus on achieving desired patient outcomes and demonstrating a commitment to the community and healthcare profession.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
- Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- Professional nursing experience and/or nurse practitioner experience preferred.
- Current state RN license and CRNP certification required.
- National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania Board of Nursing, and certification as a CRNP by Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Act 34 Clearance required.
Physician Assistant (PA)
- Graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
- BS or MS preferred.
- Experience as a physician assistant and/or in a clinical setting preferred.
- Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Act 34 Clearance required.
Senior Level
- Minimum 3 years of experience or completion of a post-graduate residency.
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program or a graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by ARC-PA.
- BSN or MSN preferred for CRNP; BS or MS preferred for PA.
- Completion of national certification.
- Must achieve a Solid/Strong/Good performance rating or higher on annual performance evaluation for consideration and to maintain status annually.
- Completion of an OAPP-approved professional contribution within one year of hire or promotion into the position (department chair approval required).
- ACLS, ITLS, NALS, PALS, or other AHA-standard certifications (including didactic and skills components) within 30 days of hire. For outpatient settings, a business unit-approved certification relevant to the practice may be used.
