CRNA - Locum Coverage

About the role

This position is for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) responsible for providing comprehensive anesthesia care in a hospital setting. The role involves autonomous practice with light supervision in a 1:2-4 staffing model, managing cases independently across multiple surgical specialties, excluding cardiac and neurosurgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative assessments
• Manage intraoperative anesthesia for a variety of surgical cases, including general, orthopedic, and obstetric procedures
• Demonstrate competency in epidural placement for deliveries
• Deliver anesthesia during structured day shifts
• Manage catheter lab stent cases and limited ENT procedures
• Optional weekend call coverage

Qualifications

• Board certification as a CRNA (mandatory)
• Prescriptive authority (required)
• Ability to work autonomously in a diverse patient population of all ages

Work Environment

• Approximately 50% hands-on practice with a varying caseload
• On-site location in a hospital setting
• No government employment involved
