SUMMARY
Develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes.
- Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve.
- Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials.
- Develop reaction chemistries and processes to meet production specifications and cycle time targets.
- Optimize chemical usage and minimize waste.
- Sampling new programs and processes
- Liaison with maintenance to solve/optimize process equipment issues.
- Liaison with production and tooling to address RFT concerns.
- Plan and execute process improvement experiments.
- Responsible for supporting the daily process operations.
- Interface with internal customer service and procurement.
- Knowledge and development of Key Performance Indicators and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed KPI targets.
- Ensure good communication across shifts, departments.
- Participate in problem solving, nonconformance batches and root cause analysis.
- Audit for standard work, quality, understanding HSE.
Qualifications
- Must have 3+ years in Chemicals industry as a Process Engineer or Production Engineer
- BS Chemical Engineering
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in manufacturing
- Good verbal and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills, such as Windows, Excel and word processing software
- Proven skills in training process engineers a must.
- MUST be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- PREFER someone already living in Georgia
