Compensation and Benefits

• 5 years' experience: $385,611.20
• 2 to 5 years' experience: $360,609.60
• 0 to 2 years' experience: $350,604.80
• Commencement Bonus: $40,000 for a 2-year commitment OR $60,000 for a 3-year commitment

Practice Environment

Location: St. Joseph's Medical Center - Stockton, CA

Facility: 8-room main OR, cath lab, endoscopy. 355-bed hospital with 14,300 annual cases covering a wide range of specialties: general, colorectal, ortho, spine, thoracic, cardiac, vascular, OB/GYN, plastics, ENT, podiatry, and more.

Schedule: Flexible 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, including call options. Post-call days off for in-house shifts.

Scope of Practice: Full autonomy for CRNAs, including regional anesthesia, arterial lines, and central lines.

The Anesthesiology department consists of 14 physicians, over 30 independent-practice CRNAs, and 24 residents (8-10 daily on site) providing services for up to 19 anesthetizing locations daily, including acute care ORs, cardiac ORs, obstetrics, GI/endo, cath lab, interventional radiology, and a hospital ambulatory surgery center.

The annual anesthesia case volume is approximately 14,300 cases, consisting of ~9,000 surgical cases, 800 cardiac cases, and 2,000 out-of-OR cases in GI, EP lab/Cath Lab, and interventional radiology. OB services include 3,000 births annually.

Requirements

We’re seeking full-time and part-time CRNAs who are motivated to practice independently in a supportive, collaborative environment. Ideal candidates include experienced CRNAs or new graduates ready to excel in an academic environment alongside an anesthesiology residency program.

St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, CA, is a 355-bed hospital and part of the CommonSpirit Hospital System. It is the largest hospital in San Joaquin County and the 10th busiest cardiothoracic department in California. The Anesthesia Residency program started in July 2021, offering subspecialty training in cardiac, obstetrics, critical care, acute and chronic pain, and pediatrics. A new hospital is being built in the next 2-3 years.
