CRNA - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Flexi/PRN

About the Role

Provides anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for various surgical and diagnostic procedures, including cardio-thoracic surgeries and cardiac catheterizations. Participates in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia per physician instructions
• Support diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests
• Engage in clinical teaching of anesthesia students
• Maintain required certifications and stay updated on safety protocols

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program (work experience cannot replace education requirements)
• Current certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association
