About the role

Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking CRNAs for opportunities in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at our Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland Clinic’s heart center is nationally ranked and recognized as the global leader in cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities

  • Administers anesthetic care for the purpose of facilitating diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures.
  • Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
  • Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia.
  • Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
  • Recognizes alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, takes appropriate action and notifies the responsible physician as indicated.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited CRNA program.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) and a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification and continued professional certification (CPC) with the National Board of Certification Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and State Board of Nursing endorsement.
  • BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through American Academy of Pediatrics certifications may be required based upon work setting.

  • Requires full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time and the ability to lift and transport patients.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure.

Pay

Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $230,000.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $299,000.00
