CRM Platform Tech lead

Collectors · California, United States · Yesterday
OTHR$165k–$250k/yrFull-time

What You'll Do

  • Technical Ownership: Serve as the technical owner of our Salesforce instance, including architecture, configuration, customizations, integrations, and data model, ensuring the platform is scalable, performant, and built on sound technical foundations.
  • Development Leadership: Lead Salesforce development initiatives from planning through delivery, setting technical direction and best practices for how work gets built, tested, and released.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of Salesforce consultants and developers, assigning work, reviewing solutions for quality and architectural soundness, and holding the team accountable to delivery timelines and standards.
  • Roadmap & Prioritization: Partner with business stakeholders to gather and evaluate requirements, then build and maintain a Salesforce roadmap that reflects company priorities, balances quick wins against long-term platform health, and is clearly communicated to leadership.
  • Business Partnership: Act as the primary technical liaison to business partners, translating business needs into scoped, buildable solutions, and pushing back when a request isn't the right long-term answer, even when that means having a harder conversation.
  • Governance & Accountability: Establish and enforce standards around change management, release processes, and technical debt, holding both the internal team and business stakeholders accountable to agreed-upon scope, timelines, and decisions.
  • Vendor & Consultant Management: Oversee relationships with any external Salesforce implementation partners or consultants, managing scope, quality, and cost of delivered work.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with adjacent enterprise systems teams (ERP, IT, Data) to ensure Salesforce integrations and data flows are consistent, reliable, and well-governed.
  • AI enablement/product Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI and product features into Salesforce.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience working with Customer Experience stack including Salesforce, including hands-on development/configuration experience, with at least 2+ years in a people-management or team-lead capacity.
  • Proven track record leading Salesforce development projects end-to-end, from requirements through deployment.
  • Deep Technical Chops: Expert-level proficiency in CRM development languages and frameworks (e.g., Apex, LWC, SOQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and complex declarative automation).
  • Experience managing a team of developers or consultants, including reviewing technical work and holding a team accountable to delivery standards.
  • Strong grasp of Salesforce architecture, data model, and integration patterns; Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Developer) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and communicate a technology roadmap that ties directly to business priorities.
  • Comfortable pushing back on stakeholders and driving toward the right technical decision, not just the requested one.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to move fluidly between technical detail and business-level conversations.
  • Experience managing executive-level stakeholders and guiding leaders toward alignment.
  • Experience managing external consultants or implementation partners is a plus.
