About the role
The Development Operations & Database Manager will oversee the organization's CRM platform, data operations, reporting, and customer database strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator for the organization's CRM platform and customer database
- Maintain data integrity through ongoing audits, data cleanup, and quality assurance initiatives
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data analyses to support strategic decision-making
- Create customer segments, mailing lists, and targeted communication lists
- Import, export, and manage large datasets while ensuring data accuracy
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for database management and operational workflows
- Partner with multiple departments to support reporting, customer engagement, and operational initiatives
- Monitor key performance metrics and identify trends to improve business outcomes
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex customer account or database issues
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes and database management practices
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of CRM administration, database management, or development operations experience
- Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Blackbaud, DonorPerfect, Raiser's Edge, Bloomerang, EveryAction, Virtuous, or similar customer relationship management systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, and customer segmentation strategies
- Strong understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and database best practices
- Experience supervising or mentoring team members preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
