Critical Infrastructure Technical Systems Manager
About the role
A CITS Regional Vendor Manager is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of essential systems in a facility or organization. This role includes the management of third party vendors to complete scheduled preventative maintenance on all critical systems as well as the installation or replacement of critical assets on the network.
Responsibilities
- System Oversight & Maintenance: Manage preventative maintenance and corrective repairs for critical systems such as UPS systems, generators, chillers, electrical distribution, HVAC, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Operational Planning: Develop and implement specifications, bidding documents, plans, and procedures for mechanical engineering, maintenance operations, and project oversight.
- Budget & Cost Control: Prepare budget recommendations, control operating expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness across all phases of property or facility operations.
- Vendor Management: Select, supervise third party vendors as well as internal teams to complete preventative maintenance tasking, new equipment installations/replacements, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Quality & Compliance: Administer service subcontracts, evaluate quality and competitive costs, and maintain liaison with internal departments.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze and appraise operational effectiveness, take corrective action, and track maintenance requests to improve service levels.
- Capital Improvements: Recommend and implement approved capital projects for mechanical, electrical, and elevator systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in data center or tenant services operations.
- Hands-on experience with data center protocols and standards.
- Electrical systems expertise: UPS, generators, electrical distribution.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and facility operations.

- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety best practices and risk mitigation.
- Proficient in office software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience working with manufacturers, vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required as well as 24 hours standby.
- Proficient leadership and team development as well as written, and verbal communication skills.
- Clean and valid Driver’s License with ability to travel to other work locations as necessary.
Working Conditions
The employee is required to utilize all safety equipment and protocol to maintain a safe environment ensuring all work-related tasks are performed in a manner that follows Company and OSHA safety rules and regulations. The employee is occasionally required to climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to occasionally working aloft.

Pay
The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $87,394.00 - $143,575.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire and does not reflect future job opportunity.
