Role Overview
Seeking an experienced nurse for a travel nursing position in a critical care setting. The role involves floating to multiple units, including Medical ICU, Neuro Critical Care, SICU, and IMC, with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2. Responsibilities include managing complex cases such as sepsis, ESRD, AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure. The position offers flexible hours, typically 36 or 48 per week, with shifts of 12 hours.
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 12 months of recent nursing experience, with 10 months in Critical Care Float Pool
- Massachusetts RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year ICU experience (Level 1 preferred) or 2 years MICU experience
- Floating to various units as needed
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Skills checklist and references required
Additional Requirements
- Living more than 90 miles from the facility
- COVID vaccination (religious and medical exemptions accepted)
- Proof of identification and recent Charge/Lead reference
- Ability to complete pre-employment modules and upload certifications
- Work involves day shifts with a maximum of 7 days off, and includes floating to specialized units
- No current placements at the specified program are allowed
- Position is travel-only, with specific holiday and off-day policies
