Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - St. Vincent Medical Center

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency nursing care in a prompt and efficient manner to all patients transported via Mercy Health Life Flight Network.
  • Assess, plan, organize, document, and evaluate patient care in conjunction with another Critical Care Transport Care provider.
  • Act as a professional representative of Bon Secours Mercy Health to the community, as an educator to professional groups, to emergency medical services and promote Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center and Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center as regional referral centers.
  • Assist in the provision of care to patients of all age groups (neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric).

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: 2-year Associates Degree
  • Specialty/Major: Nursing
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
    • CAMTS approved advanced certification (CFRN, or CTRN) required or obtained within 18 months of hire.
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
    • TNCC and ITLS required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire.
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 6 months of hire.
    • FEMA 100, 200, & 700 within 6 months of hire.
    • Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Michigan Registered Nurse license (required for Wauseon Flight Base)
  • EMT or Paramedic Certification (required for Wauseon Flight Base)
  • Qualifications

    • Minimum Years and Type of Experience: 3 years of professional nursing experience in critical care with at least 1 year of emergency care experience.
