Looking for an alternative to bedside? If you're ready for a change from the hospital, there's a place to use your nursing skills where the focus is one patient at a time. As a Critical Care Transport RN with Northwest Ambulance, you'll practice at the top of your license and manage complex critical care patients. Same acuity. Same critical thinking. Completely different environment. If you're an ICU or ER nurse who's tired of the hospital but still wants real clinical work and real patient acuity, we'd love to talk with you.
Why nurses make the move to transport

- Predictable schedules – you’ll know when you’re working.
- No mandatory hospital floating – you were hired for critical care and will practice it.
- Real autonomy – mobile ICU‑level care with the critical thinking to back it up.
- Variety – different patients, sending and receiving facilities, and clinical pictures each shift.
- Paid training and continuing education – we invest in keeping your skills and certifications current.
