Critical Care Physician

University of Virginia’s Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is seeking a full-time, tenure-ineligible critical-care physician at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor.

About the role

Clinical service responsibilities include caring for critically ill patients and managing outpatient clinics. The position also involves teaching pulmonary fellows, residents, and medical students during consult and inpatient services.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical-care services for hospitalized patients
• Manage outpatient clinics
• Teach pulmonary fellows, residents, and medical students on consult and inpatient rotations

Requirements

• MD degree or equivalent
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care by appointment start date

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellence in patient care and teaching
