About the role
The Critical Care Float Pool Nurse provides comprehensive care across multiple intensive care units, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and intermediate care MSICU.
Responsibilities
- Implement physician orders
- Administer medications
- Perform treatments and tests
- Assess patient needs
- Apply sound nursing judgment
- Collaborate with the team to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Guide ancillary staff
- Ensure quality standards are maintained
Qualifications
- Diploma, associate's, or baccalaureate nursing degree
- Current NYS RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or progressive care
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
