Nurse Manager (ICU, Inpatient, 40hr, Day)
Job Description
In addition to managing our 7 bed ICU you will be leading our group of Float Pool RNs and Techs, and provide cross-coverage for the Inpatient units. We have a great team looking for a strong clinical leader to bring best clinical practice to the bedside. A background with strong clinical skills in ICU is preferred.

Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
- Five years of related work experience in area of nursing specialty (med/surg, critical care, etc.) with strong clinical skills.
- At least 1 year of supervisory/management experience required.
- Recent direct clinical leadership preferred.
- Advanced interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to deal with critical patient and personnel issues in a changing organizational climate.
- Analytical ability to solve clinical issues and conduct, or participate in, quality improvement, research and utilization activities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage unit in a fiscally responsible manner.
- AHA BLS Certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire. (All direct clinical Managers)
- AHA ACLS Certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.(ICU, PACU, Float & ED)
- AHA PALS Certification required or obtained within one year of hire (PACU, Float and ED)
- Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include outlook, word, excel, Powerpoint or access.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification
