Critical Care Intensivist

About the role

ICC Healthcare (Intensive Care Consortium) is seeking an Intensivist to join LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Must be board certified or board eligible in Critical Care
• Active Virginia License or ability to obtain
• Mix of days and nights, 12 hour shifts
• Available Full Time
• Open to Full Time nocturnist
• 36 ICU Beds: 12 MICU/CICU, 12 SICU, 12 Neurotrauma
• 1 MD and 2 APPs during the day, 1 MD and 1 APP at night
• Available 2026 Incentive/Benefits Package: Competitive compensation with an excellent benefits package including health, dental, life insurance, stock options, 401k with company match, disability, CME allowance and days, and more
• Expert practice management including privileging, provider enrollment, and billing and collections
• Employed W2 position, competitive hourly rate based on FMV

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong team building strategies within the ICU
• Hardwiring of best practice evidence base protocols
• Streamlining the delivery of hospital wide critical care services
• Work/life balance is maintained
• Provider input and experience valued
• Participation in GME through HCA’s commitment to residency and fellowship programs
• Data on a large scale for testing and implementing new models of care and management for the best interest of our patients and physicians

Skills

Skills required include:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Knowledge of critical care medicine
• Experience with hospital-wide critical care services
• Excellent problem-solving abilities

Pay

$ Hourly Wage Estimate: $215 - $230 / hour
