About the role
ICC Healthcare (Intensive Care Consortium) is seeking an Intensivist to join LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Critical Care
- Active Virginia License or ability to obtain
- Mix of days and nights, 12 hour shifts
- Available Full Time
- Open to Full Time nocturnist
- 36 ICU Beds: 12 MICU/CICU, 12 SICU, 12 Neurotrauma
- 1 MD and 2 APPs during the day, 1 MD and 1 APP at night
- Available 2026 Incentive/Benefits Package: Competitive compensation with an excellent benefits package including health, dental, life insurance, stock options, 401k with company match, disability, CME allowance and days, and more
- Expert practice management including privileging, provider enrollment, and billing and collections
- Employed W2 position, competitive hourly rate based on FMV
Requirements
Qualified Candidates:

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong team building strategies within the ICU
- Hardwiring of best practice evidence base protocols
- Streamlining the delivery of hospital wide critical care services
- Work/life balance is maintained
- Provider input and experience valued
- Participation in GME through HCA’s commitment to residency and fellowship programs
- Data on a large scale for testing and implementing new models of care and management for the best interest of our patients and physicians
Skills
Skills required include:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Knowledge of critical care medicine
- Experience with hospital-wide critical care services
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
