Critical Care Cardiologist
About the Role
Join our team as a Critical Care Cardiologist within the largest multi-specialty care system in the Twin Cities. This role bridges cardiology and critical care medicine, offering a partnership between the cardiology department—providing comprehensive cardiovascular services including structural interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and advanced cardiac imaging—and the medical critical care department at Regions Hospital, a high-volume ELSO center, nationally recognized Level 1 Trauma Center, and teaching hospital. The hospital has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report and Watson Health Top 15 Health Systems.
You will work alongside three cardiac surgeons supported by five APCs in a collaborative, mission-driven environment that values excellence, compassion, partnership, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage critically ill patients in the CVICU and MICU.
- Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including IABP, Impella, and ECMO.
- Perform bedside cardiovascular procedures, such as TEE, POCUS, pulmonary artery catheter placement, and large-bore vascular access.
- Perform bedside medical critical care procedures, including POCUS, pulmonary artery catheter placement, and large-bore vascular access.
- Comanage patients with Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Requirements
- Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology and Cardiology Critical Care.
